Injunction
An injunction is a court order that forces a party to take action to avoid harm or to stop the party’s harmful conduct or prevents the party from committing a harmful action. Usually, when a monetary award is insufficient to right the wrong, a court will award an injunction. An injunction can be permanent, such as preventing an ex-employee from revealing the company’s secrets (see also Misappropriation of Trade Secrets), or temporary, such as a protective order.
If someone’s action or inaction is causing or threatening to cause you harm, the Attorneys at HALE BALL MURPHY, PLC can help you understand your rights and obligations and provide you with viable options for resolving the dispute, whether through alternative dispute resolution methods or litigation.
