Famous singer in middle of child support drama

Even famous people go through family legal issues, like Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert's divorce (along with other celebrities, like Jennifer Lopez). These same issues extend to child support. Anybody who owes child support is expected to pay, as ordered by the court, regardless of who they are or how they feel about the other party.

Many of our Virginia readers are familiar with R. Kelly, the famous musician who has found himself in the middle of legal battles in the past. This time around, he is facing concerns regarding the payment of child support.

According to recent reports, the singer is believed to be $114,900 behind in child support payments. As a result, Project Child Support is in the process of providing information to Andrea Kelly's attorneys in an attempt to help her collect the money that is due. The president of Project Child Support noted, "We will provide Mrs. Kelly's attorney with the terms and conditions we provided in other cases where the Court granted enforcement orders to enable the collection of arrears for our clients."

R. Kelly and Andrea were married for 13 years, however, they decided to part ways in 2009 through divorce. The couple has three children together, which is why the singer owes his ex-wife child support.

Of course, the singer has his own side to the story with his representative stating that R. Kelly is up to date on all his child support payments.

As is often the case with celebrity child support drama, this situation will unfold in the public eye.
